John Mehigan is in the News

“Selling New York,” HGTV’s fabulous reality show following high-end brokerages Gumley Haft Kleier and Core has sold! Sources say the program will be back for a second season.

The show’s first season attracted some notable clients like retired advertising executive Larry Plapler, who tells us he loved “Selling New York” so much that he asked Gumley Haft Kleier’s John Mehigan to sell his unusual property. Mehigan has the listing for Plapler’s $1.55 million private island in Paterson, NJ.

As we reported exclusively on Monday, Plapler has rowed to his island most weekends for the past 35 years. It is accessible by rowing or electric-powered boat — no gasoline is allowed on the private lake.
